Alongside her knowledge of animal behavior, Jenn has over 10 years of professional experience teaching both kids and adults, so you can rest assured that she will successfully teach YOU how to be the trainer! Her most recent years in education were spent teaching environmental science and wildlife programming for the University of Colorado.

As an environmental enthusiast and native to Colorado, Jenn spends her free time hiking, mountain biking, camping, snowboarding, rock climbing, and backpacking through the great outdoors with her Newfoundland, Trooper, and dog-loving husband, Ryan. She'll always remember and be grateful for the lessons learned with her first dog, a Saint Bernard named Bailey.

Jenn Fantasia is the owner and senior trainer of Happy Hounds Dog Training, LLC. She began her professional animal training career in 2009 as a marine mammal trainer at Sea Life Park in Hawaii, specializing in dolphins, seals, and sea lions. After moving back to Colorado, Jenn spent several years working at the Denver Dumb Friends League as an Animal Behavior Specialist and Behavior Evaluation Coordinator where she provided behavioral assessments and training for hundreds of dogs and cats in-need of new homes. Her passion for dogs and desire to help owners inspired her to pursue private in-home dog training as a profession while working for FetchMasters in 2013 and then starting Happy Hounds Dog Training in 2014. In addition to training domestic pets, she has valuable work experience training and caring for exotic animals at organizations including the Denver Zoo, Rocky Mountain Raptor Center, The Wildlife Experience, and the Downtown Aquarium.

Jenn has a Bachelors degree in Zoology from Colorado State University and a Master's degree in Biology from Miami University of Oxford. Her master's capstone was themed around how dogs can be used as teaching tools to enhance and improve outdoor education experiences for kids and adults.
