Jenn Fantasia is the owner and senior trainer of Happy Hounds Dog Training, LLC. Her life working with animals began in 2006 through internships and seasonal opportunities educating humans and training exotic animals at renowned organizations including the Denver Zoo, the Downtown Denver Aquarium, The Wildlife Experience, and the Rocky Mountain Raptor Center. In 2009, Jenn accepted a seasonal position as a marine mammal trainer at Sea Life Park in Hawaii, where she refined her animal behavior and training experience working with dolphins, seals, and sea lions.

After moving back to Colorado in the summer of 2010, Jenn began working at the Denver Dumb Friends League as an Animal Behavior Specialist and Behavior Evaluation Coordinator where she provided behavioral assessments and training for thousands of dogs in-need of homes. Her interest in dog behavior and desire to work more closely with owners inspired her to found Happy Hounds Dog Training in 2015.

EDUCATION: Claire has a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology and Zoology from James Cook University in Townsville Australia.

When she's not training dogs, Claire spends her free time hiking with her dog Charlie, snowboarding, and horseback riding.

EDUCATION: Jenn has a Bachelors degree in Zoology from Colorado State University and a Master's degree in Biology from Miami University of Oxford.

Alongside her expertise in animal behavior and training, Jenn has over 12 years of professional experience teaching both kids and adults, so you can rest assured that she will successfully teach YOU how to be the trainer! Her most recent years in education were spent teaching environmental science and wildlife programming for the University of Colorado.

As an environmental enthusiast and native to Colorado, Jenn spends her free time hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, rock climbing, and camping in the great outdoors. She shares her life with a spunky young Border Collie named River and her dog-loving husband, Ryan. She'll forever be grateful for the lessons she learned with her first dogs, a loyal Saint Bernard named Bailey and a practically famous Newfoundland named Trooper who helped raise countless puppies through our Puppy Board & Train Program.

Claire is the Puppy and Obedience Trainer at Happy Hounds. Originally from Australia, Claire grew up on the coast of Sydney, living right by the ocean. This fostered her love of marine life at an early age, which later expanded into a greater passion for animal care and animal behavior.

She began her professional animal training career in 2014 working with dolphins in Bermuda. Since then, she has had the opportunity to work with and professionally train a wide variety of exotic animals including dolphins, sea lions, seals, parrots, penguins, and even sloths! Claire moved to Colorado in 2020, eager to grow and share her knowledge of dog behavior and training. In addition to helping owners live a harmonious life with their dogs as a private trainer with Happy Hounds, Claire recently worked for Freedom Service Dogs in their mission to raise and match assistance dogs with people in need. She also volunteers as a Puppy Raiser for Freedom Service Dogs, ensuring that potential service puppies get the training and life experience they need to set them up for success as future service dogs!
